Heights RenovationWhole-home renovation · 1928 Tudor
A 1928 Tudor in the Heights, taken back to the studs in places, left alone where the original work was better than anything we could do now. The family had lived in the house for seven years before they called us. They knew exactly what they wanted to keep.
The Brief
Open the kitchen to the family room without losing the bones of the original plan. Restore the original windows where possible, replace where rot had taken them. New primary suite. Mechanical and electrical brought current. No additions — work entirely within the existing footprint.
What we built
- Kitchen and family room reconfiguration with structural beam to remove a load-bearing wall
- Original casement windows restored; six replaced in kind
- Full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing replacement
- New primary bath with steam shower and freestanding tub
- Hardwood floors refinished throughout, original where possible
