Heber Springs Lake ResidenceCustom build · Greers Ferry Lake hillside
A custom residence built into a sloping site above Greers Ferry Lake, designed around a single great room that opens completely to the view. The family wanted the architecture to recede — vaulted ceilings high enough to hold the light, beams that read as structure rather than ornament, and a kitchen wide enough to be the center of every gathering without losing its quiet when the gathering ends.
The Brief
A primary residence on a Heber Springs hillside lot, oriented for the long view east. An open living plan organized around one soaring great room. Primary suite separated from secondary bedrooms. Bathrooms finished in stone. Materials that age well; finishes that don’t ask to be noticed.
What we built
- Hillside site evaluation, grading, and foundation to follow the natural fall of the lot
- Vaulted great room with exposed timber framing — kitchen, dining, and living as one connected space
- Floor-to-ceiling glazing along the lake elevation; sliding panels that disappear into the wall
- Wide-plank white oak floors and custom millwork in the kitchen and primary closet
- Honed marble baths with freestanding tubs and walk-in showers
- Brass plumbing fixtures and lighting, specified throughout for a single material language
