The family came to us with a deep site in Chenal Valley, a long view to the west, and a desire for the house to feel as though it had always been there. We worked alongside their architect to refine the floor plan, then sat with them through every material selection — the white oak, the limestone, the antique brass — until each one belonged.

The Brief

Five bedrooms, separate wings for parents and children, a kitchen that could host forty without feeling cavernous when only the family was home. Outdoor living that worked nine months a year. A reading room with a working fireplace.

What we built

• Site evaluation and grading, working with the natural fall of the lot
• Custom floor plan refined over twelve months
• White oak floors, hand-finished lime plaster walls, custom millwork throughout
• Outdoor kitchen, fireplace, and pool — designed as a single connected room
• Behind-the-wall: closed-cell foam, mechanical redundancy, audio-visual prewire
